Awards & Recognitions
AAA Top Shop
AAA has been around since the 1970s, and they inspect auto shops around the country in order to find the best of the best.
Only shops that pass their rigorous inspection are allowed to carry the AAA logo. But AAA has taken their inspections one step further with the Top Shop Awards.
This award is given to facilities that go above and beyond everyday customer service and quality auto repair.
Luckily, there are a few shops in Washington State that have earned the Top Shop Award from AAA.
In order to receive this award, these shops have a year-end customer satisfaction index of 99% or higher, participate in community service, and have current ASE certification. If you want a trusted auto repair shop in Washington, this is the shop to visit.
ASE Recognized Business
ASE, is short for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Since 1972 this independent non-profit organization has worked to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals.
For today’s vehicle owner, auto repair and detail is more complicated than ever. Vehicles keep getting more complex, while technology and diagnostic tools constantly change as well.
As a result, finding a competent, knowledgeable automotive professional can be a real challenge. Fortunately, more than 300,000 professionals across the country choose to show their knowledge by earning "ASE" Certification — a benefit to their customers as well as themselves.
Thanks to ASE certification program, everybody wins: vehicle owners can easily find ASE Certified Technicians who have proven themselves to be knowledgeable professionals. Liberty Bay Auto Center can get additional visibility in areas like Poulsbo, Seattle, Bangor, Silverdale, Bremerton, Gig Harbor, Olympia, Lacey and Tacoma by qualifying for the Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program. And Certified Auto Professionals can get the respect and recognition they’ve worked so hard to earn.
Auto technicians and other professionals who want to become ASE Certified can take one or more of ASE’s 40-plus exams. The exams are grouped into specialties such as automobile, medium/heavy truck, truck equipment, imports, exotics, auto detail and more.
The exams stress knowledge of job-related skills. The tests are no cinch to pass; in fact, usually only two out of every three test takers pass on their first attempt. After passing at least one exam and providing proof of two years of relevant work experience, the test-taker becomes ASE certified.
